Wood siding brings a look vinyl and fiber cement can't fully replicate, but it needs the right stain, sealant, and pest protection to last.
We stock properly kiln-dried, moisture-treated cedar rather than green lumber prone to warping after install.
Wood-safe sealants and stains are matched to your climate exposure, not a one-size-fits-all product.
Wood siding installation and repair require different technique than vinyl or fiber cement — our crews are trained specifically for it.
We carry the insurance appropriate for specialty wood exterior work.
Active rot or pest infestation gets prioritized quickly since it spreads if left alone.
Seasonal staining and sealing work gets scheduled around Bradley, IL's weather windows.
Board repair, staining, and full installation are priced separately so you can choose the right scope for your budget.

Wood siding rewards proper maintenance and punishes neglect faster than most other materials.
Shake and shingle patterns installed with proper spacing and fastening for both look and weather performance. We select vertical-grain cedar for better dimensional stability than flat-grain stock.
Rotted or damaged tongue-and-groove and lap boards get replaced individually with matched profile and species. Replacement boards are sealed on all six sides, including the back, before installation to prevent moisture wicking.
Carpenter ant, termite, and woodpecker damage get assessed and repaired, with any pest issue flagged for separate treatment. A referral to a licensed pest control specialist is offered when active infestation is found.
Wood siding needs re-staining and sealing on a regular cycle to prevent moisture absorption and UV breakdown. Wood moisture content gets checked before staining, since sealing over damp wood traps moisture rather than blocking it.
This profile is popular for accent walls, gables, and full-home installs on Bradley, IL properties. Fasteners are set to allow for wood's natural seasonal movement, avoiding the split-board problem common with rigid fastening.
Poor ventilation behind wood siding is a leading cause of premature rot — we correct airflow issues during repair or re-side work. {A simple rainscreen gap behind the boards can solve a chronic moisture problem without changing the visible material at all.|We check soffit vent function as part of any wood siding ventilation assessment.}
